MIAMI HOUSING POLICY TOOLKIT

The Toolkit provides resources and tools on local issues in affordable housing and community development. I implemented sliders showcasing the same location in different time periods, to display the effects of mass development and gentrification.

COMMUNITY LAND TRUSTS

Community Land Trusts are a method or land ownership where land is not held solely by one person but is instead owned by various sources of public and philanthropic capital, to ensure long time affordability for renters and homeowners. I visualized how this process works in three main parts: land, permanent affordability, and structure. 

LAND ACCESS FOR NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT

LAND features vacant land parcels, boundaries and district overlays, a lot size calculator, and transit corridors. I designed both the visual language and flow of the disclaimer and instructions for use for the mapping tool.

In collaboration with the program manager and software engineers, I was able to inform critical visual elements that facilitate how viewers understand the land differences between neighborhoods and cities.
